Dr. Jacob Jordan receives Medical Doctorate from
Dr. Michael E. DeBakey 1984.

Dr. Jacob Jordan is a second generation surgeon who grew up making patient rounds with his father, a professor of surgery. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Biology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 1980. Dr. Jordan attended Baylor College of Medicine, receiving a Medical Doctorate in 1984. During his undergraduate and postgraduate years, Dr. Jordan had the distinct privilege of working under renowned surgeon Dr. Michael E. DeBakey.

Dr. Jordan completed surgical internship and residency training at the University of Florida Affiliated Hospitals in Gainesville, Florida from 1984-1988. He served as Chief Resident of the University of Florida Hospital System Surgical Program from 1988-1989.

Dr. Jordan continues his education, keeping apprised of the latest surgical techniques and breakthrough innovations as an active member of several surgical societies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the Southeastern Surgical Congress, a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Breast Surgeons.
